Cambridge, UK – August 26th, 2020 – Astrea Bioseparations Ltd is pleased to announce closing of the acquisition of Essential Life Solutions Ltd, a US corporation with an established range of chromatography columns and accessories used in life science research and bioprocess development.

“We are excited to announce the acquisition of Essential Life Solutions. The company’s SNAP® column products are a recognized premium brand for research and small-scale purification of biological products and perfectly complement Astrea’s existing range of bioprocess columns” said Dr Steve Burton, CEO of Astrea. “We are very proud that Dan Yukon, an acknowledged chromatography expert, will join the management team at Astrea and will support the company in his new role as Head of Regional Sales, North America” added Dr Burton.

This acquisition also provides Astrea with direct operations in the US in the greater Boston area, a world-leading life sciences hub, which will further enhance the company’s ability to support its North American customers.
